Falls are the leading cause of death among construction workers throughout North Carolina and the rest of the country. According to a study published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine, there is a link between noise and high cholesterol and blood pressure. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health found that 41 million workers are exposed to excess noise while on the job.
